Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Tokyo: Tokyo HT (#1) and Tokyo Cinq R. (#6). Tokyo HT (16-2) crushed visiting Tokyo Cinq R. (1-17) by 24 points 89-65. They outrebounded Tokyo Cinq R. 47-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. Tokyo HT players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for American forward Joel James (208-94, college: N.Carolina) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Brennan McElroy (201-91, college: Indianapolis) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) answered with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Senegalese Bira Seck (204-90, college: Idaho, agency: Interperformances) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-2 record. Tokyo Cinq R. lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 17 lost games. Tokyo HT will play against Saitama Broncos (#5) on the road in the next round. Tokyo Cinq R.'s supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Excel..
