Regular Season Round 10: Werribee D. - Knox R. 71-75

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Knox Raiders (5-4) beat 8th ranked Devils (4-7) in Werribee 75-71 on Sunday. Strangely Devils outrebounded Knox Raiders 49-37 including 34 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a very good performance for American forward Christopher Kaba (203-88, college: N.Colorado) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import guard Durrell McDonald (188, college: Mercyhurst) contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Knox Raiders' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Deng Chan replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Bryan Nagy (201, college: Carroll, WI) added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Devils. Knox Raiders maintains sixth position in League with 5-4 record. Loser Devils dropped to the ninth place with seven games lost. Knox Raiders will face Stingrays (#12) in Geelong in the next round where they are favorite. Devils will play at home against the league's leader Eltham Wildcats and hope to win that game.
