Regular Season Round 26: PAOK - G.Larissa-Faros 91-51
Date: May 13, 2018
Not a big story in a game in Thessaloniki where 11th ranked G.Larissa-Faros (8-18) was rolled over by fourth ranked PAOK (17-9) 91-51 on Sunday. The game without a history. PAOK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. PAOK outrebounded G.Larissa-Faros 42-28 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. PAOK looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by G.Larissa-Faros' players. The best player for the winners was American-Gambian forward Ousman Krubally (202-88, college: Georgia St.) who scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Dimitris Katsivelis (196-91) chipped in 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Dutch power forward Roeland Schaftenaar (211-88, college: Oregon St.) produced 4 points and 8 rebounds and forward Paris Maragkos (206-94, college: American) added 9 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PAOK moved-up to third place, which they share with Promitheas. G.Larissa-Faros lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 18 games lost.
