Regular Season Round 26: AEK - Kymis 82-76

Everything could happen in Athens at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked AEK and 6th ranked Kymis had identical 14-11 record. This time AEK used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kymis 82-76 on Sunday night. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Manny Harris (196-89, college: Michigan) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. International Giannoulis Larentzakis (195-93, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 16 points. Four AEK players scored in double figures. American guard Lenzelle Smith-Jr (193-91, college: Ohio St.) produced 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import guard Thaddus McFadden (188-87, college: Fairmont St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 15-11 record. Loser Kymis keeps the sixth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Lavrio.
