Undefeated Sunshine CP (4-1) recorded its first loss in Gold Coast on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by fifth ranked Rollers (3-1) 95-94. Rollers dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Sunshine CP's 44. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Deon Mitchell (186-93, college: N.Iowa) notched 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and forward Tidjane Diop (203-90, college: Seattle) supported him with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Five Rollers players scored in double figures. Rollers' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 34 points (!!!) by American Roy Booker (191-84, college: SE Missouri St.) did not help to save the game for Sunshine CP. Guard Jamaal Robateau (196, college: Gardner-Webb) added 22 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Rollers moved-up to third place in League. Loser Sunshine CP keeps the second position with one game lost. Rollers will meet at home Logan T. (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Sunshine CP will play against Brisbane Capitals (#11) and hope to secure a win.
