Winner League top team - Hapoel Holon (21-10) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (13-18) in Nes Ziyona 98-92. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ironi Nes-Ziona. The guests were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 27-17 Ironi Nes-Ziona's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 98-92 at the end of the game. Strangely Ironi Nes-Ziona outrebounded Hapoel Holon 37-21 including a 18-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Hapoel Holon players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was a quality performance for American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized American forward Joe Alexander (203-86, college: W.Virginia) accounted for 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Nigerian power forward Talib Zanna (206-90, college: Pittsburgh, agency: 3Eye) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Puerto Rican guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: W.Virginia) added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Ironi Nes-Ziona in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Holon have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 21-10 record, which they share with Maccabi T-A. Newly promoted Ironi Nes-Ziona keeps the eighth position with 18 games lost. Hapoel Holon will play against Bnei Hasharon (#9) in Hod Hasharon in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
