Kapfenberg rallied past Vienna to ensure 2-0 advantage in the series. It looked good early as Vienna took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kapfenberg Bulls took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 28 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Vienna to just 5 points in third quarter. Kapfenberg Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Vienna's 30. They outrebounded Vienna 36-16 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. American swingman Brian Oliver (201-90, college: Seton Hall) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Kapfenberg Bulls' coach Michael Coffin felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) replied with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Czech center Jiri Hubalek (208-82, college: Iowa St., agency: Interperformances) added 16 points in the effort for Vienna. Five Kapfenberg Bulls and four Vienna players scored in double figures.
