Very important is a home loss of third ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (13-11) against sixth ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (13-10) on Wednesday night. Host Tijuana Zonkeys were defeated by Ostioneros de Guaymas in a tough game in Tijuana 84-93. The winners were led by American Musa Abdul-Aleem (196-88, college: Troy) who scored that evening 44 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and the other American import center Allen West (206-91, college: Nevada) supported him with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) did not help to save the game for Tijuana Zonkeys. The former international guard Cesar Martin-del-Campo (196-87) added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Tijuana Zonkeys' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Ostioneros de Guaymas moved-up to third place. Loser Tijuana Zonkeys dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Durango and Guasave. Ostioneros de Guaymas will meet at home league's leader Garra Canera de Navolato in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tijuana Zonkeys will play against Pioneros Los Mochis and hope to secure a win.
