Seventh-ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (12-12) was very close to win a game against first ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (16-8). Garra Canera de Navolato managed to secure only two-point victory 89-87. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Brandon Swannegan (206-93, college: Tulsa) who added 16 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Garra Canera de Navolato's coach Andres Contreras allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Iranian forward Mike Rostampour (203-91, college: Omaha) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 23 rebounds and American guard Bruce Massey (190-90, college: Middle Tenn.St.) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Five Garra Canera de Navolato and four Caballeros de Culiacan players scored in double figures. Garra Canera de Navolato maintains first position with 16-8 record. Caballeros de Culiacan at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Garra Canera de Navolato will play against Ostioneros de Guaymas (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Caballeros de Culiacan will play against Lobos UAD Mazatlan (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
