Regular Season Round 11: Rockingham F. - Perth R. 87-110

Everything went according to plan in Rockingham where second ranked Redbacks (10-3) outscored 6th ranked Flames (6-6) 110-87 on Friday. Redbacks shot 62.3 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Redbacks looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: Arizona St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Benjamin Smith (192-89) helped adding 27 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Four Redbacks players scored in double figures. Forward Greg Hire (201-87, college: Augusta) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Curtis Washington (208-91, college: Georgia St.) scored 28 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Redbacks maintains second place in League with 10-3 record having just twelve point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Flames keep the sixth position with six games lost. Redbacks will face Hawks (#7) in Floreat in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Flames will play on the road against Eagles in Morley and hope to win that game.
