Regular Season Round 11: Bendigo B. - BA CoE 75-86

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked BA CoE's (6-4) road victory over 3rd placed Bendigo Braves (5-4) 86-75 on Friday. The guests trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 64-42 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. BA CoE looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for swingman Alexander Mudronja (193-99) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Samson Froling (210-0) helped adding 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four BA CoE players scored in double figures. BA CoE's coach Adam Caporn let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Ray Turner (206-90, college: Texas A&M) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Jeremy Kendle (186-88, college: Bellarmine) scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Despite that victory BA CoE went down to third position (League) due to points difference. Loser Bendigo Braves dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. BA CoE will face Frankston Blues (#8) in Seaford in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bendigo Braves will play at home against Sabres and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
