There was a surprise result in Alexandria where fifth ranked Sydney City Comets (7-3) won against leader Hills Hornets (9-2) 84-78 on Saturday. It was a great evening for power forward Tom Dawson (197) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. D Carniel helped adding 12 points and 13 rebounds. Joshua Chapman responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized British forward Paul Brotherson (198-89, college: Metro St.) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Sydney City Comets and four Hills Hornets players scored in double figures. Hills Hornets' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sydney City Comets moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Hills Hornets still keep top position with two games lost. Sydney City Comets will face Crusaders (#7) in Terrigal in the next round. Hills Hornets will play at home against Maitland Mustangs (#9) and hope to win that game.
