There was no surprise in Wonthella where 6th ranked Hawks (6-6) were defeated by third ranked Buccaneers (9-2) 91-81 on Saturday. Buccaneers dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Hawks' 46. It was a great evening for American forward Colter Lasher (201-94, college: Houston Baptist, agency: Blacktop Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import center Liam Hunt (198, college: Hope International) helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Ryan Smith (192-92) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and American power forward Jacob Holmen (202-91, college: N.Texas) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Buccaneers maintains third place in League with 9-2 record having just nine point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Hawks dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Buccaneers will face Slammers (#13) in Bunbury in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hawks will play on the road against the league's second-placed Redbacks (#2) in Northbridge and hope to win that game.
