UBT Cluj Napoca fired past visiting Steaua CSM to take the lead. Croatian forward Zeljko Sakic (204-88, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. American swingman Jonte Flowers (196-85, college: Winona St.) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Randal Falker (201-85, college: S.Illinois) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Steaua CSM. Steaua CSM's coach Jukka Toijala rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
