Regular Season Round 11: Lakeside L. - Goldfields G. 122-69

Date: May 19, 2018
No shocking result in a game in North Lake where eighth ranked Lightning (6-7) outleveled 14th ranked Giants (2-10) 122-69 on Saturday. Lightning looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Giants' players. It was a great evening for American forward Daniel Alexander (206-91, college: Grand Canyon, agency: Haylett Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Hayden Bell (190-95) helped adding 24 points and 5 rebounds. Five Lightning players scored in double figures. American swingman Jeylyn Sharpe (194-91, college: Rogers St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import power forward Kyle Sovine (206-94, college: St.Francis, IN) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Lightning went down to ninth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Giants keep the fourteenth place with ten games lost. Lightning will face higher ranked Cougars (#8) in Hamilton Hill in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Giants will play at home against Suns (#10) and hope to win that game.
