Regular Season Round 11: Sutherland S. - Hornsby S. 74-63

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Spiders (3-8) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked Sutherland Sharks (5-5) 74-63 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American guard Jeff Van-Dyke (188-95, college: Cal-San Diego) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Jake Wilson (193-88) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds. Darcy Emery responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Scottish guard Patrick Emery (185, college: Coker) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sutherland Sharks maintains sixth place in League with 5-5 record. Loser Spiders keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Sutherland Sharks will face Bankstown Bruins (#11) in Condell Park in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Spiders will play on the road against Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in Narrabeen and hope to win that game.
