There was an upset in Narrabeen where 3rd placed Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (7-3) were defeated by seventh ranked Crusaders (4-6) 76-66 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American forward Mitchell Rueter (198, college: Cent.Arkansas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Callum Jenkins helped adding 16 points and 15 rebounds. Abe Bulgin responded with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Polish swingman Stefan Blaszczynski (196-84, college: Nicholls St.) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Crusaders maintains seventh place in League with 4-6 record. Loser Manly Warringah Sea Eagles dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Crusaders will face higher ranked Sydney City Comets (#4) in Alexandria in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will play at home against Spiders and hope to win that game.
