Imortal fired past Esgueira on the road to secure 1-0 lead in the championship series. Imortal dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Esgueira / Oli's 22. Worth to mention a great performance of Angolan forward Sergio Correia (198-85) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Cape Verdean point guard Shane DaRosa (183, college: Bristol CC) contributed with 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Imortal players scored in double figures. American forward Dee Franklin (196, college: Ft.Valley St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Bolon Sauane (193-94) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Esgueira / Oli. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
