Regular Season Round 11: Sunshine CP - Brisbane C. 74-102

Date: May 19, 2018
There was a surprise result in Cotton Tree where tenth ranked Brisbane Capitals (2-3) outleveled second-ranked Sunshine CP (4-2) 102-74 on Saturday. Brisbane Capitals forced 27 Sunshine CP turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized Maltese center Nelson Kahler (206-94, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. American point guard Aaron Anderson (178, college: N.Dakota) helped adding 12 points and 6 assists. Guard Jamaal Robateau (196, college: Gardner-Webb) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard CJ Massingale (191-82, college: Metro St.) scored 18 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Brisbane Capitals went down to eleventh position (League) due to points difference. Loser Sunshine CP dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
