Regular Season Round 11: Joondalup W. - Goldfields G. 104-73

Date: May 20, 2018
Not a big story in a game in Joondalup where 14th ranked Giants (2-10) were rolled over by first ranked Wanneroo (12-1) 104-73 on Sunday. Wanneroo dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Giants' 40. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 63.0 percentage. Wanneroo looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for guard Brian Sullivan (180-93, college: Davidson) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Jalen Billups (200-92, college: N.Kentucky, agency: Haylett Sports) helped adding 24 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Jake Martin (198-85, college: Luther) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Kyle Sovine (206-94, college: St.Francis, IN) scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Giants' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Wanneroo maintains first place in League with 12-1 record. Loser Giants keep the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Wanneroo will face Magic (#12) in Mandurah in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Giants will play at home against Suns and hope to win that game.
