Regular Season Round 11: Frankston B. - Melbourne T. 87-105

Very expected game in Seaford where 8th ranked Frankston Blues (1-10) were defeated by fourth ranked Tigers (6-3) 105-87 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Tigers. Frankston Blues was better in fourth quarter 28-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Frankston Blues were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Tom Wilson (195-97, college: SMU) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Dexter Kernich-Drew (198-91, college: Washington St.) helped adding 38 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Forward Dan Trist (206-92, college: Lafayette) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and American Sam Muldrow (206-88, college: S.Carolina) scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Tigers and five Frankston Blues players scored in double figures. Frankston Blues' coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Tigers maintains fourth place in League with 6-3 record. Loser Frankston Blues keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Tigers will face Sabres (#7) in Cheltenham in the next round. Frankston Blues will play on the road against BA CoE in Canberra and hope to win that game.
