Regular Season Round 25: Los Mochis - Tijuana 98-90

Bottom-ranked Pioneros Los Mochis managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they won against fourth-ranked Tijuana Zonkeys 98-90. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Taylor Johns (201-94, college: Cal-Riverside, agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Stedmon Lemon (198-92, college: Johnson C. Smith) contributed with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds for the winners. American center Leon Gibson (206-91, college: Houston) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized American swingman Karim Scott (196-88) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tijuana Zonkeys. Four Pioneros Los Mochis and five Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pioneros Los Mochis maintains tenth place with 8-17 record. Tijuana Zonkeys lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Pioneros Los Mochis' next round opponent will be again higher ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (#6) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
