Regular Season Round 3: Trotamundos - Toros 72-54

Rather expected game when Toros (1-3) lost to Trotamundos (3-1) in Valencia 54-72. Trotamundos dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Toros' 26. Trotamundos had a 38-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American center Kwame Alexander (201-90, college: CS San Bernar.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds. International center Javinger Vargas (202-90) helped adding 13 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American-Jamaican center Dane Johnson (208-86, college: Hofstra) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and international forward Elder Gimenez (186-91) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Trotamundos will again play against Toros (#3) in Maracay in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Toros will have a break next round.
