Jamaican-Canadian forward Dwayne Smith (198-89, college: G.Washington) fired 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Goodridge is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Bucaneros players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bucaneros have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Eastern Conference with 3-1 record, which they share with Gigantes. Loser Guaiqueries still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Marinos. Bucaneros will meet league's second-placed Gigantes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Guaiqueries will play against Panteras and hope to get finally their first victory.
