Regular Season Round 34: Andorra - Valencia 87-69

Another interesting game for Andorra (19-15) which hosted higher ranked Valencia Basket (22-12). Eighth ranked Andorra had an easy win 87-69. It looked good early as Valencia Basket took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Andorra had a 27-12 second period charge getting the lead and Valencia Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-87. Andorra players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. French point guard Andrew Albicy (177-90) scored 17 points and 9 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Czech swingman David Jelinek (195-90, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Four Andorra players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Georgian Will Thomas (203-86, agency: Two Points) responded with 15 points (made all of his seven free throws) and international swingman Joan Sastre-Morro (201-91) scored 12 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Andorra moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Unicaja and Iberostar Tener. Defending champion Valencia Basket keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost.
