Very predictable result in Floreat where first ranked Wanneroo (13-2) outscored 7th ranked Hawks (6-8) 95-67 on Friday. Wanneroo looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jalen Billups (200-92, college: N.Kentucky, agency: Haylett Sports) who scored 32 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import guard Brian Sullivan (180-93, college: Davidson) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Wanneroo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Ben Purser (200-90, college: Augusta) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward Jacob Holmen (202-91, college: N.Texas) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wanneroo maintains first position in League with 13-2 record. Loser Hawks dropped to the eighth place with eight games lost. Wanneroo will face Senators (#4) in Perth in the next round. Hawks will play on the road against Eagles (#11) in Morley and hope to win that game.
