Regular Season Round 12: Bendigo LB - Sandringham S. 92-60

Everything went according to plan in Bendigo where top-ranked Lady Braves (9-0) outscored 3rd ranked Sabres (7-5) 92-60 on Friday. The game without a history. Lady Braves led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Lady Braves forced 19 Sabres turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Kelly Wilson (170-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 6 rebounds, 12 assists and 6 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and power forward Nadeen Payne (188-93, agency: LBM Management) who added 25 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Lady Braves players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international Rachel Jarry (185-91) with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and New Zealand center Megan Craig (203-93, college: Albany) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lady Braves maintains first position in League with 9-0 record. Loser Sabres keep the third place with five games lost. Lady Braves will face league's leader Lady Cobras in Kilsyth in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sabres will play on the road against Lady Bandits in Albury and hope to win that game.
