Very predictable result in Morley where fifth ranked Flames (8-6) beat 11th ranked Eagles (5-10) 100-94 on Saturday. Eagles were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Greg Hire (201-87, college: Augusta) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Justin Beard (196-96) chipped in 27 points and 7 rebounds. Five Flames players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Anthony Golden (185-89, college: NW Nazarene) who recorded 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Drew Williamson (196-83, college: Metro St.) added 22 points respectively. Eagles' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Flames maintains fifth position in League with 8-6 record. Loser Eagles keep the eleventh place with ten games lost. Flames will face Cougars (#9) in Hamilton Hill in the next round. Eagles will play at home against Hawks and hope to win that game.
