Esgueira upset Imortal on the road to even the championship series at 1-1. Strangely Imortal outrebounded Esgueira / Oli 53-35 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Dee Franklin (196, college: Ft.Valley St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 38 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Guard Samuel Loio (180-89) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Franklin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Esgueira / Oli's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Power forward Rafael Wildner (207-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Angolan forward Sergio Correia (198-85) added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Imortal. Four Imortal players scored in double figures.
