Very expected game in Ulverstone where 6th ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (5-5) was defeated by second ranked Ballarat Miners (7-2) 92-78 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 14 points. The best player for the winners was guard Peter Hooley (193-92, college: Albany) who scored 23 points. American forward Marvin King-Davis (201-93, college: Delaware) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Ballarat Miners players scored in double figures.
