Regular Season Round 12: S.Adelaide P. - N.Adelaide R. 71-93

Everything went according to plan in Park Holme where fourth ranked North Adelaide Rockets (7-3) outleveled 7th ranked South Adelaide Panthers (3-7) 93-71 on Saturday. North Adelaide Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to South Adelaide Panthers' 32. They outrebounded South Adelaide Panthers 50-29 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Alexander Starling (198-89, college: Beth.-Cookman) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 22 rebounds. Brad Jonnek chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four North Adelaide Rockets players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Eian Davis (185-90, college: Albertus Magnus) who recorded 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import guard Ivory Young (190-95, college: Utah Valley) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. North Adelaide Rockets maintains fourth position in League with 7-3 record. Loser South Adelaide Panthers keep the seventh place with seven games lost. North Adelaide Rockets will face league's leader Noarlunga City Southern Tigers in Morphett Vale in the next round and it may be the game of the week. South Adelaide Panthers will play on the road against Eastern Mavericks (#9) in Mt. Barker and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
