Tofas outgunned Anadolu Efes to open 1-0 lead. Tofas outrebounded Anadolu Efes 39-25 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Anadolu Efes' players. American point guard Pierria Henry (193-93, college: Charlotte) stepped up and scored 8 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and his fellow American import Tony Crocker (200-87, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 16 points. At the losing side American-Armenian center Bryant Dunston (203-86) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) scored 12 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
