No shocking result in a game in Geelong where eighth ranked Hume City Broncos (6-7) smashed 12th ranked Stingrays (1-10) 107-81 on Sunday. Hume City Broncos looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Trevon Clayton (198, college: Fresno Pacific) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Mike Rose (193-87, college: E.Kentucky) chipped in 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Four Hume City Broncos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Julius Brooks (206-90, college: Loyola, MD) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and Steve Wiasak added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Stingrays' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Hume City Broncos maintains eighth position in League with 6-7 record. Loser Stingrays keep the twelfth place with ten games lost. Hume City Broncos will face higher ranked Magic (#5) in Hawthorn in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
