Everything went according to plan when first ranked Spectres (9-3) won against on the road 4th placed Hobart Chargers (5-6) 84-66 on Friday. The game without a history. Spectres led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Spectres outrebounded Hobart Chargers 45-28 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Marena Whittle (180-94, college: N.Dakota St.) fired 26 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Izzy Chilcott (180-90) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Four Spectres players scored in double figures. Sharna Thompson produced 26 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Kathleen Scheer (187-89, college: Duke) added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Spectres maintains first place in League with 9-3 record. Loser Hobart Chargers dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
