The game in Santiado del Estero supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Berazategui (3-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Quimsa (1-3). Berazategui smashed Quimsa 84-59 on Friday. Berazategui forced 25 Quimsa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winners were led by international guard Macarena Durso (169-91) who scored that evening 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Maria Juiordhuil supported her with 17 points and 4 assists. Berazategui's coach Juan Ferreyra felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 13 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks by American center Adijat Adams (188-92, college: Biola, CA, agency: ProDep Management) did not help to save the game for Quimsa. The former international center Gisela Vega (188-82, agency: ProDep Management) added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Berazategui moved-up to second place. Defending champion Quimsa dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Berazategui will meet Ameghino (#5) in the next round. Quimsa will play against Velez S. and hope to win that game.
