Rather predictable result in Newcastle where second ranked Hunters (8-2) beat 5th ranked Comets (5-5) 54-40 on Saturday. Hunters forced 24 Comets turnovers. Guard Jasmin Howe (173, college: NW Missouri St.) fired 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Alison Ebzery chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals. Howe is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Hunters' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serika Shillingsworth produced 17 points and 4 steals and Dutch Danielle Pruijs (184-97) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Hunters maintains second place in League with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser Comets keep the fifth position with five games lost.
