Regular Season Round 4: Nkumba LM - KCCA Leopards 55-62

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked KCC Leopards (2-2) beat on the road 5th ranked Nkumba LM (2-2) 62-55 on Saturday. KCC Leopards forced 27 Nkumba LM turnovers. The winners were led by the former international guard Judith Nansobya (170-86) who scored that evening 16 points and guard Cynthia Irakunda (-91) supported her with 12 points. KCC Leopards' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 21 points and 4 assists by guard Brenda Ekone (152-96) did not help to save the game for Nkumba LM. Center Becca Aanyu (-92) added 12 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. KCC Leopards moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Nkumba LM. KCC Leopards will meet at home league's second-placed KIU Rangers in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Nkumba LM will have a break next round.
