Not a big story in a game in East Burwood where 3rd placed Tornadoes (7-5) were outplayed by first ranked Spectres (9-3) 79-59 on Sunday. The game without a history. Spectres led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Forward Izzy Chilcott (180-90) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Marena Whittle (180-94, college: N.Dakota St.) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Spectres players scored in double figures. Spectres' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Lauren Nicholson (183-93, college: St.Mary's, CA) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and guard Alex Wilson (174-94) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Spectres maintains first place in League with 9-3 record. Loser Tornadoes keep the third position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
