Rather expected game when 7th ranked Hume City Broncos (7-8) lost to fifth ranked Knox Raiders (9-5) in Wantirna South 87-96 on Sunday. Strangely Hume City Broncos outrebounded Knox Raiders 51-36 including 39 on the defensive glass. American forward Christopher Kaba (203-88, college: N.Colorado) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Taylor Dyson (193-93, college: Hartford) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Knox Raiders' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Trevon Clayton (198, college: Fresno Pacific) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 20 rebounds and naturalized British guard Lee Jeka (193-83) added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Hume City Broncos. Four Knox Raiders and five Hume City Broncos players scored in double figures. Knox Raiders moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Hume City Broncos dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
