There was an upset when higher ranked Sunshine CP (4-3) was outleveled on the road by twelfth ranked Toowoomba Mountaineers (3-5) 120-99 on Sunday. Toowoomba Mountaineers outrebounded Sunshine CP 46-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Damon Bozeman (190, college: Saginaw Valley) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import power forward Harold Ridgeway (203, college: Midland) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American Roy Booker (191-84, college: SE Missouri St.) replied with 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists and guard Jamaal Robateau (196, college: Gardner-Webb) added 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Sunshine CP. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Toowoomba Mountaineers moved-up to tenth place in League. Loser Sunshine CP dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Toowoomba Mountaineers will face Ipswich Force (#11) in Booval in the next round.
