Regular Season Round 10: Cocodrilos - Toros 90-88

The most exciting game of round 10 in the LPB took place in Caracas. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Toros (3-7) to fourth ranked Cocodrilos (2-6) 90-88 on Monday evening. Cocodrilos had a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward Tony Mitchell (203-92, college: N.Texas) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Wendell McKines (198-88, college: N.Mexico St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international center Alejandro Barrios (204-79) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and Uruguayan guard Andres Dotti (185-93) added 25 points respectively for lost side. Four Cocodrilos and five Toros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cocodrilos maintains fourth position in Western Conference with 2-6 record. Toros at the other side keep the third place with seven games lost. Cocodrilos are looking forward to face Gaiteros (#5) in Maracaibo in the next round. Toros will play at home against the league's second-placed Trotamundos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
