Regular Season Round 1: Tabare - Auriblanco 76-60

An interesting game for Tabare (1-0) which hosted in Tabare Auriblanco (0-1). Tabare had an easy win 76-60. Tabare dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Auriblanco's 18. Tabare forced 19 Auriblanco turnovers and outrebounded them 47-26 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Auriblanco was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American forward Tiel Daniels (200-92, college: Colorado St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Forward Emiliano Serres (206-97) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Inaki Erroizarena answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Argentinian power forward Rodrigo Goncalvez added 16 points in the effort for Auriblanco. Auriblanco's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Tabare will face 25 de Agosto in Montevideo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Auriblanco's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Stockolmo.
