Regular Season Round 5: Spurs - Grizzlies 81-60

There was a change at the NBBL leadership position after last games. Round 5 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Grizzlies (4-1). They were crushed by second ranked Spurs (4-1) 81-60 on Monday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Grizzlies. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Power forward Nathan McCarthy (203) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Daniel Dooley (185) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Lance Drummonds (188, college: St.Clair) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and guard Woods Brown (188) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Spurs have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Grizzlies.
