Regular Season Round 5: Spurs - Grizzlies 81-60

There was a change at the NBBL leadership position after last games. Round 5 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Grizzlies (4-1). They were crushed by second ranked Spurs (4-1) 81-60 on Monday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Grizzlies. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Power forward Nathan McCarthy (203) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Daniel Dooley (185) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Lance Drummonds (188, college: St.Clair) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and guard Woods Brown (188) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Spurs have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Grizzlies. Grizzlies will play next round against Wellness C. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Spurs will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked 519ers on the road.
