Fenerbahce cruised past Tofas in the BSL Finals opener. The game without a history. Fenerbahce led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Fenerbahce looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) stepped up and scored 17 points and 5 assists for the winners and center Ahmet Duverioglu (209-93) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. At the losing side Yigit Arslan (195-96) responded with 11 points and 4 assists and the former international point guard Baris Ermis (194-85) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
