There was a minor upset in Morley where 9th ranked Suns (8-10) were defeated by eleventh ranked Eagles (7-11) 106-98 on Friday. Eagles looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Eagles made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American power forward Jonathan Morse (203-91, college: Metro St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. Swingman Drew Williamson (196-83, college: Metro St.) helped adding 15 points and 11 assists. Morse is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and power forward Louis Timms (206-91, college: Wayland Baptist) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Five Eagles and four Suns players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Eagles moved-up to tenth place in League. Loser Suns keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Eagles will face Slammers (#12) in Bunbury in the next round.
