Regular Season Round 15: Lakeside L. - Stirling S. 93-87
Date: June 8, 2018
The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Lightning's (9-8) home victory over 6th ranked Senators (9-9) 93-87 on Friday. Lightning looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Daniel Alexander (206-91, college: Grand Canyon, agency: Haylett Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard John Isenbarger (188-91, college: Elon) helped adding 28 points. The best for the losing side was Nigerian-American forward Robert Anshila (199-86, college: Ft.Hays State) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and forward Caleb Davis (206-95, college: Saginaw Valley) scored 23 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Four Senators players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Lightning went down to sixth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Senators dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. Lightning will face Cougars (#11) in Hamilton Hill in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Senators will play at home against Suns (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
