There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Brisbane Capitals (3-4) beat at home higher ranked Sunshine CP (5-4) 118-109 on Saturday. Brisbane Capitals looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Sunshine CP was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for point guard Aaron Anderson (178, college: N.Dakota) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 5 assists. Point guard Brandon Davis (183, college: Alaska-Fairb.) helped adding 17 points and 7 assists. Brisbane Capitals' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Roy Booker (191-84, college: SE Missouri St.) with 38 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and guard CJ Massingale (191-82, college: Metro St.) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Five Brisbane Capitals and four Sunshine CP players scored in double figures. Brisbane Capitals moved-up to eleventh place in League. Loser Sunshine CP dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Brisbane Capitals will face higher ranked Mackay Meteors (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
