Bottom-ranked Pioneros Los Mochis managed to get a fifteenth victory. This time they won against fourth-ranked Caballeros de Culiacan 117-105. Pioneros Los Mochis made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Pioneros Los Mochis outrebounded Caballeros de Culiacan 42-26 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Pioneros Los Mochis (15-21) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Guasave and Mazatlan. Caballeros de Culiacan at the other side keeps the fourth position with 17 games lost. Pioneros Los Mochis' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Rayos de Hermosillo at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Caballeros de Culiacan will play against Ostioneros de Guaymas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
