No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Force (6-0) beat 12th ranked Logan Thunder (2-6) in Loganholme 93-79 on Sunday. Force made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Amanda Johnson orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 9 assists. Lithuanian forward Gintare Mazionyte (188-91, college: Texas) contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Mikhaela Donnelly (177-94) replied with 21 points and 9 assists and forward Zitina Aokuso (192-98) added 20 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Logan Thunder. Four Logan Thunder players scored in double figures. Force moved-up to third place in League. Loser Logan Thunder keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. Force will face league's second-placed Flames in Townsville in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Logan Thunder will play at home against Rollers (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
