Regular Season Round 1: Guizhou - Guangxi 111-114

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Guizhou (0-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by Guangxi (1-0) 114-111. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 58-54 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American center Isaiah Austin (216-93, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 32 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Forward Minho Lee (199-92) chipped in 25 points and 6 rebounds. Guangxi's coach Dah-Tzong Chiou used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. New Zealand guard Corey Webster (188-88, college: Lambuth) produced 40 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and American-Nigerian center Chris Otule (211-90, college: Marquette) added 17 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Guangxi is looking forward to face Wuhan (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Guizhou will play against Fujian (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
